Dr Abigail Lay is a BHF Accelerator Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences at The University of Manchester.
Biography
Abigail graduated from the University of Leeds in 2011 with a BSc in Microbiology with Immunology. She undertook her PhD at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Professor Richard Coward and Professor Gavin Welsh, which was awarded in 2015. In 2021, Abigail was awarded a BHF Accelerator Fellowship from The University of Manchester to continue her research on the mechanisms underlying diabetic vascular disease.
